School has been closed today as we were forecast another 10-20cm of snow overnight. It didn't happen and we had some glorious sunshine instead - it was still bloomin' cold though. I ventured out to the postbox and that was me done for the day! Brrrrrr.....hot water bottles again tonight I think! Back to school tomorrow... BOOOOO! ;)

With my 'free' day off I decided to have a productive day. I made 6 birthday cards for up-coming birthdays in the next couple of months (you'll have to wait for pictures!). I completed my MSOE (mad scientists of etsy) January challenge - the theme was photosynthesis so I made a big plant cell pincushion. I'm really pleased how it turned out! I also finished a couple more valentine cards that just need to be listed (maybe tomorrow!) AND a keyring! I did want to do a lot more but got sidetracked into making some flapjack as J was working from home today so he didn't have to venture out on the icy roads.

While I remember, for Katy and Rachel, the polar bear table cloth that appears in a few photos was a purchase from John Lewis a few years ago. J chose it in the oilcloth section and that christmas I got some PJs to match! Sadly it's no longer in their oil cloth stash. Today's oilcloth is sponsored by Cath Kisdston and is proof there is a little bit of empty space on my desk!!! ;)
