HELLO, AND WELCOME TO MY BLOG!

My name is Claire and by day I'm a school science technician and new mum (currently on maternity leave!). In the evenings, once the munchkin is asleep, I love to sew, make and create all sorts of cute (mainly) felty goodness and then ramble about it here in my own little corner of the world.

I welcome custom work and orders, just give me a shout if there is something you'd like making! :)

I do put a lot of hard work into everything I make so please do not use any content from this website without contacting me first.

View Article  Peg Bag Tutorial

Well, I've spent the afternoon making a peg bag tutorial. If you CLICK HERE it should take you to the pdf with the template for the pants and the list of things you'll need. I took lots of photos so thought it best to have the tutorial on flickr so you can get a good look at what I did. Just CLICK HERE to be taken to the set and then get making! Hopefully the instructions make sense but let me know if they don't! I've also set up a flickr group where you can share your pants peg bags!

Please only make peg bags from this pattern for pesonnal use. I'll be very sad if you try to sell them

View Article  25 Weeks and a peg bag!

Here I am at 25 weeks through the pregnancy. Little bump is starting to show more now and I can't hide her in my lab coat any more! More of the staff at school and a few of the kids have started to notice and ask my if I'm pregnant. I find it a little odd how people who haven't spoken to me in the 2 and a half years I've been working in a school suddenly want to talk to me, well, ask how bump is doing....not me(!). It's strange! Anyway, I'm mostly fine, still feeling a little sicky on occasions and definitely glad to be having a rest for 2 weeks!

Here is the peg bag I finished yesterday for Lucy and Matt. It's been on my list since last year, which wasn't a problem until we started having some nice weather where you *can* hang your clothes on the line! I told them this would be the first thing I'd make in my holiday sew-a-thon. It was the 4th, I made 3 knitting needle cases first(!), they just need to be photographed then I can show them off tomorrow!

Also on my epic list is to do a peg bag tutorial. Would anyone be interested in me making one? If so leave a comment and I'll make sure I take lots of photos when I make the others on my list.
